So I'm applying a filter to an image that's 2925 x 2475 pixels.

For some reason, it only brings in a portion of the image into Filter forge. A small strip on the right side of the image remains unchanged.

I read somewhere that some filters only work on square images, so I changed the canvas to 2925 x 2825 pixels. While it affected the new portion of the image that was created on the bottom, it still left the thin strip on the right side unchanged.

What am I doing wrong here? smile:?:

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give.

What filter are you using? So it can be known if the filter is only for square images or not

You say that you changed the Canvas to be square with 2925 x 2825, but this is still rectangular. It should be 2925x2925 or 2825x2825 to be square

From the description you have given it seems that you are loading an image you have made and you want to apply the filter over it, and then you resized the image outside of FF to the new size, and then loaded the new one and tried again

It happens for every filter I attempt to use. So I have to filter one side of the picture, then go back and filter the other side of the picture, then combine the two in photoshop and hope there isn't some horrible seam.

I'm sorry, that was a typo. Yes, I changed it to 2925x2925 square, because I had read on this forum that some filters were only for square images, which seemed odd to me.

I think your description of what I've done sounds pretty good.

If it happens in all the filters that you want to use I do not know what is happening

Maybe showing a screenshot with the original image and the FF result could help

Also tell which filter you are using from the screenshot

There are only two possible causes for this: You’re either using a selection (the filter is applied to the selected area) or your image is larger than the canvas (the filter is applied to the visible area). Please fix that, and everything will work fine.
