My verdict on this thing is that if it were not a slow, unstable, unusable piece of crap, you could do really cool things with it.

its faster than heck on my machine..
I do 3d work and texture maps Substance Painter, 3DMax and Maya, Lightwave etc
and its Fast for me, if it was slow I would not have paid for it..

I love it and use it all the time for 3D work...but it can be glacially slow with some filters, especially at 4000 by 4000 pixels. In fact I've killed a few filters after seeing them not advance much by the morning. Then I try them at 3000 pixels and if that doesn't work try 2000.

Indeed some filters are fast and some filters are slow. That's the flip side of having 11,000 diverse filters. You can also optimize filters for speed yourself or create a fast filter from scratch.
