i've been having trouble with one filter i'm working on. today, i think i found out what was doing it, but i dont know why it's doing it. i'm attaching two screen shots. the first shot is one of a normal profile gradient and how it looks in its own preview window.

the second is from the filter i'm working on. but, for the purposes of testing and showing this oddity, i just added a NEW profile gradient next to the results component to show what was going on. this is a NEW component i had just pulled out of the components list, not one that was in the filter already.

notice the two preview windows in the profile gradient preview window. they are NOT the same look. but, the settings are EXACTLY the same.

and, ANY new profile gradient i add is the same way... AND all of the others in the filter seem to be the same odd way.

i think this came about from doing a copy/paste of a profile gradient that was offset. the copied profile gradient would also be offset the same way. that is expected. but now ALL NEW profile gradients are coming out that way! that is not expected. and, i cant change it back to its normal look. it's like the thing is truncated partially.

this looks an awful lot like some sort of clipboard bug or something.

the first image is the normal look.

I think you might be zoomed out a bit so the gradient is repeating in the second pic.

ok, in testing this a bit further, if i take one of the messed up profile gradients, highlight it and hit 'copy' and then exit the filter and make a new filter and then paste the profile gradient into the new filter, it's NOT messed up. it's as it shld be.

so, apparently, it's only this one filter that is goofed up somehow.
