I read these similar threads (1 and 2 below) and have been getting similar errors. I've been using ff3 for years on Winxp and then Win8 (32bit); I clean installed Win8.1 (64bit) this morning and installed FF3 after photoshop cs5.1. The FF installer had an error at the end and now whenever I run a filter I get a similar error (2nd in attached image). It appears to be working otherwise and I've tried deinstalling and reinstalling different versions, etc.. I've tried just using the 32 bit version of Photoshop, but the error is the same. I'm using the 3.016 installer that I saved from my previous computer since there is not a link to the installer on this site anymore.

Can anyone help that has had similar problems? thanks.

I've tried a number of things, but I'm still getting the errors. For giggles I installed the beta 5 version as well as the trial for 4 and those install and work fine.

Version 2 has the same errors. I've boogered with it too much and now version 3 won't run at all despite deinstalling/reinstalling it and is making this error.

Thanks CFandM. That installed without error, but I'm getting the last error message there somehow still despite uninstalling and reinstalling. It says something about the operation requiring elevation. I'll work on that for a bit.

edit: the elevation thing seems to be a permissions error created by windows. Easy fix is to install it to a different directory.

edit2: everything is working fine. Thanks again.
