I've seem to have a problem with downloading filters very often. I can't download from the site and I can't load the library in the program.
Would it be possible to give us an option to download them manual? (This is an on and of problem and I use tree different browsers when the problem occur. FF, Crome and IE) |

Is not possible to download the filters from the FF library manually as they are tightly configured to work directly with the FF library management inside filter forge, and if you load any filter manually is always put inside the "my filters" folder so you loose the category and order.
Here is a thread I havve made to help persons that are having problems with filter downloading and ways to possibly solve them error downloading FF filters PLEASE see this thread What problems exactly are you having when downloading? what error messages do you get when trying to download? Have you tried different browsers? When does it happen? Have you tried to use the filter downloader that is inside filter forge? If you do not know how to do it, here is a thread that explains it Advantages and Disadvantages of using the OL and OLIFF Filters Library |

I've already did read the full thread
https://www.filterforge.com/forum/read...7#postform before I made the post and that is why I ask if it would be possible to make it so we can download them manually. I can't download from the site I can't load the library in the program. I have tried with FireFox I have tried with Crome I have tried with Internet Explorer I have tried to download several different filters When trying to download online, I have Filter Forge open Error message: Initial data download failed. Reason: 'get_families_versions-list() failed.'. This is the error message I get, both when I try to open the in program Filter Library and if I try to get the filters from the online library. This is nothing new, it has been like this for at least a year and now it starts to annoy me, that is the reason I ask if you can please make the available for manual download? |

Well, for me it does work right, and I have had no problems downloading filters, and the last time I had problems was only around 4 or 5 months ago just one or 2 days.
So I think that maybe, is not a problem of the FF filter library or the servers, it must be something wrong in your computer, in the FF configuration, or maybe more possible in your own internet connection between the servers and your computer, maybe you have some software that may be blocking or limiting it.
As far as I know this is a temporal problem, and only happens sometimes, and is fixed after some hours after (or perhaps up to a day or 2) and then again is working right again Sorry that I can´t help you more with this, it must be from FF customer support that knows better about this |

Please, can you answer the following?
What windows version are you using? What Filter Forge (FF) are you using? Do you have FF installed in the default C: folder or you have moved it? What internet security software you have installed? If you have any How is configured the security software? What is the configuration of the UAC in windows? Have you tried to make Filter Forge a known and secure application? What versions of the browsers do you have? |
