Alpha Channel is blank

Hello,

I'm having a problem with filter forge and chances are I'm doing something wrong, since I tried searching for other threads with similar problem as mine and didn't find any. So probably it's just me missing something.

Basically my alpha channel is blank, I've tried many different filters and even though they render an alpha channel in the TGA or PNG, if I view the alpha it's all white. I've tried many filters and none have proper, for example the filter called "Speedlines" is meant to have alpha but when I render it I get the speed lines on top of the buoy ring without being able to separate them. Any filter that I've tried does the same, and I repeat I do export the alpha, it's just it's blank.

Hope I'll get some help because I really like filterforge but not if I have to use the filters on top of a buoy ring. Thank you in advance.
