Seamless Tiling

I am using a file size 1980 X 1320 and am checking the "seamless tiling" box under setting and am getting the following message. "Source image must have an integer aspect ration"

I don't know what this means, or how to deal with it, where to find it and where to put it. Please help me throught this mess.

Hi Imicha and Welcome to our community. smile;)

I'm not sure but I think that images must have the same width and height, as a square image for seamless tile. Personally, I usually work with 600 x 600 because it takes to long for the render when images are bigger than that. After, I use another software for making my ajustments on images.

Not necessarily the same. To enable seamless tiling the ratio between the width and height must be an integer number. So a 500x1000 or a 2000x400 image will suffice.

In order for a discrete filter to be seamlessly tiled, the aspect ratio of the source image must be integer. The aspect ratio is the ratio of the image width to the image height, for example an image with the dimensions of 400x200 pixels has an integer aspect ratio of 2, and an image of 300x200 pixels has a non-integer aspect ratio of 1.5. For vertically oriented images with the height greater than the width (for example 200x400 pixels), the width and height get reversed so that the ratio is always greater than 1

This is not true as said by GMM is not needed that is the same size both sides

the 'aspect ratio' is the relationship of sizes (the ratio)of the width and length of an image, screen, monitor and so on.

and an 'integer' is basically, a whole number and not a fraction.
