This just started happening today.
Filter Forge 2.0 does not run at all. It does not run as stand alone or as a plugin. There is no error message. Nothing! It just doesn't run.
The exact same thing is true about Filter Forge 3.0 Beta. It simply doesn't run.

Studio XPS 8100
Windows 7 66
Raydeon HD 5670
8 GB RAM
3.20 GHZ CPU

Thanks!

I did it smile:)
if you are using comodo;
add

C:\Program Files (x86)\Filter Forge 3\Bin\*

in the defense settings, exclusions!
you have to add * at the end if not it's not working!
to be sure you can also add

C:\Program Files (x86)\Filter Forge 3\Bin\Filter Forge.exe

to the list.

Same problem here. On my HP laptop (Windows7) FilterForge just won't start. It doesn't even appear in the task manager.
I use Comodo, too, but neither adding FilterForge nor quitting Comodo did do anything.
Help needed.
On my Windows7 desktop machine it runs perfectly fine.

How do you save your filters that you already have downloaded from website?

Photoshop CS4 crashing when I choose FF2 from plugin filters and freezing up. I think I am going to have to re-install it from the disk. Do I need to delete FF2 and then re-install or can I re-install over it?? What my biggest concern is that I do not want to lose all the filters I have downloaded!

Please help!! This has happend to me for the 3rd time in 1.5 years.
Running 64bit Windows 7 and Photoshop CS4

Thank you!!

UPATE: It stalls with the "working" circle for a bit then the initial box that
usually shows up just before it launches just flashes on the screen for a
millisecond. Then it freezes Photoshop with out any error reports. I have to
go to the task manager to "kill" PS to get it to shut down. The stand alone
does the same thing. Does not start. I have de-installed it and installed it
again (FF) and it is doing the same thing. Will not run! I even tried to
download the "newer" version from the website instead of using my
disk....same thing!

Was experiencing the same issue as Shockwave describes in the post above. I am running Comodo and following umutusu's suggestion, I got the filter launching correctly, but it now says the 30-day trial period has expired and I must purchase a license. I installed it today, so something is wrong here. I uninstalled and reinstalled it once today while trying to figure out why it was not working as advertised. Can someone help get around this trial expired issue?

You can copy the contents of the following folder to a removable drive:

%APPDATA%\Filter Forge\System\
(by default it is C:\Users\YourUserName\Application Data\Filter Forge\System)

You can overwrite your existing installation. Please download the latest version from our download page.

Is it a 64-bit version of CS4?
Do you have Comodo or Spyware PC Doctor installed?
