Acronis restoration from backup will not restore the filter files. The filter files are physically present and I have been able to extract them from the image to a temp folder. And they can be opened individually one at a time in FF. But how can I load them all back in in one operation from the temp folder?

Do you mean custom filters or the library ones? You can copy user-made filters into the '%APPDATA%\Filter Forge\My Filters' folder (on a PC) and copy the library filters into the '%APPDATA%\Filter Forge\System\' folder.
