It seems to me that they take a triangluar section of your source image and then rotate it six times to generate a hexagonal pattern.

Good question. Seems wrong to me too.

Here's another:
To make the hexagonal pattern you would need equilateral triangles, but the sample seems to be only an isoceles triangle (root(5), root(5), 2). How do they get them to fit. smile:?: smile:?:

BTW: Not even Rhomb 1 deserves to be called a Rhombus. The shape is much better known as a Diamond. smile;)
