When I click on “Open in Filter Forge” I get the error message “Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permission to access the item.”
Can anyone help?

Well this isn't really a solution but its a workaround.

Instead of left clicking on "Open In Filter Forge", right click and save the file to your desktop or "my documents" folder. Now find the file and double click it.

Michael, this looks like a problem with the security settings in your browser or in your system, but we didn't manage to reproduce it.

Could you please post your browser version and your OS version?

Michael,

we've tested the "Open in Filter Forge" function under MSN Explorer. Well... frankly, we are shocked at the way MSN is done smile:|

First, it wouldn't let us create a new account and threw an internal error. We had to use an existing account. Then, the security settings are a complete mess - for instance, after we set it to "High security level", it refused to let us into its own settings! smile:!: smile:eek:

We didn't manage to reproduce the error you had, but after all we saw, we come to think that it probably was a glitch/bug in MSN Explorer.

Our sincerest recommendation is that you move to Firefox 2.0 or any version of IE. Everything works there smile;) smile:D Well, nearly everything smile:) But still.

I've taken your recommendation and switched over to using Firefox. It looks like I can download normally now, thank you.

And, if I remember correctly, MSN Explorer uses IE5.5 technology, which is ancient by today's standards. So I'm pretty sure you won't regret switching to Firefox. Welcome to the club!
