So I made a test filter that tiles fine, but when I use the vertical offset it become not seamless.

Interesting.

Since I was curious, I experimented around...
It looks like the Noise Distortion loses the seamless tiling when its Scale parameter goes above about 80%. However, if, instead, of the Noise Distortion component, one uses two Perlin Noises to Offset (distort) the the circle, it doesn't seem to lose the seamless tiling, even when their Scale parameters do go above 80%. (So I wonder what the Noise Distortion is doing differently than what the 2 Perlin Noise distortion does?

I've had the offset/no longer tiling seamlessly problem before too. It kinda depends on how/what you are doing with the offset component though.

Ran into this many, many times while creating pattern filters...Abstract Growth for one...Always had to create some type of workaround for it...

I am curious what Vladimir or Bella will have to say about this one, every bug I have run into thus far has been because of my own incompitency. Did I actually find a real bug?!!?!!? I hope not, but at the same time I hope so, just so I can say I have actually contributed something the FF. smile;)

Yes you did -- and the bug is just plain brilliant. I have no idea how a bug of such a magnitude could remain in the codebase after 11 updates, ~4300 submitted filters and ~60000 forum posts!

We're currently working to fix it.
