I had you flash my motherboard recently after I installed filter forge. When I tried to run it it gave me "Detect Clock Manipulations" error. Is there a work around for this?

Thanks for any help1

I will say that is part of the 30 day trial. I believe. This happens when the peecees
clock is set forward or backward. As far as a workaround thats not for me to post.

This message is shown when Filter Forge detects that the PC clock went backwards in time, which in most cases means that the user is trying to "extend" the trial period. To circumvent this check, you can sign up as a beta tester and get a license key -- entering it into Filter Forge will solve this problem.

I have the same problem (although I did not change the time at all, just installed the latest version on top of an older one). I have the beta tester key since I installed the original version on this machine (here the old one was run as trial) but I do not have any chance to enter it, as soon as the application starts it displays the Clock Manipulations dialog box and then dies immediately smile:(

I do not know whether it changes anything in the clock detection, but it is a Parallels Workstation (virtual PC) on Mac.

Any idea how to tell to the application that I have a beta tester key?

Thanks!

In the main menu, click Help > Enter License Key...

Sure, but the application does not start at all because of this clock problem. Just the message box and then nothing.

OK, after all it is not a huge problem, it runs OK on my PC, I just wanted to play with the application when I'm using the Mac.

Gwynhale, unfortunately, there's no workaround for it right now. We'll fix this in the next update.

I'm experiencing this problem as well.

The weird part is that i've just downloaded the new Filter Forge after a fresh windows install. I'm pretty sure that I havent changed the clock at all.

A very quick fix of this would be nice.

We've already fixed that -- when Filter Forge thinks that the clock has been manipulated, it now allows to enter the license key. The fix will be available in the next update.

Ahh....Yes. Thank you! I restarted my computer after the warning and it went away. It comes back periodically but that's a problem with my motherboard's clock.
