Thanks to the people at these forums, we've found out how to cure the GetWindowTextW problem. To fix it, exit the Nvidia's nView Desktop Manager, it sits in your system tray. You may restart it later after you have started Filter Forge.

This problem is solved in the Update 1.003 as well, so this fix is no longer needed.
