External Selection Componenet

Ok, I agree, but as a final user, If I want to use a filter that has the 'Selection Component' into a selection, I don't get that. I mean without having some work with layers and inverting selection to delet the outside of the selection. Well, let's get the Filter Blood Bubble (Text) by Richard Davey that has 'Selection Component'.
Let's suppose I want to use his filter into a selection in the background (#1). If I apply his filter, I get the result (#2), but I don't get to get the result (#3 was manipulated) and keeping the original background. Maybe when we click on apply button for filters that use 'Selection components', FF would ask something like "Apply only into selection?". Well, just a suggestion I think I've interpreted the 'Selection Component' in another way that day of the 1st post.
