ok, i'm probably just not understanding something here. i thought there was no approval check on submissions now, yet after i submit i cant find my submission. in both cases the submission wizard has said 'successful' yet i cant find my filter. how's this working now?

i thought at first that i had gotten the first submission auto-rejected for the name, for after i submitted it i downloaded some others, one of which was very similar in name. it wasnt exact, but the first word in the title was the same so i thought maybe it had been rejected. so, i changed the name and tried again. i couldnt find that one either.

is there some sort of delay on these? or is the name checking only a few letters or something? or am i supposed to not be able to see my own submissions?

the first one i submitted was named "Kaleidoscope (Craig's) 1". the second, which was exactly the same as the first but only had the name changed, was "Kaeleiscopic Effects 1".

when i submitted the second one i saw no evidence of the first one and when i downloaded later, i found no evidence of either.

The same thing happened to my filter.
I waited four days for a filter to be accepted or rejected. Now the system has changed my filter was not in the submissions folder.
Yesterday I re-submitted the filter again and it is still not in the submissions folder.

That's because of rendering. Before we can upload a filter to the filter library, we have to render its preview images (for the Filter Library and for the web page). And since many submitted filters are VERY slow, and the rendering is currently done on a single server, we can only upload 20-30 filters per day.

We currently have 60 filters in the queue and this number keeps growing every day -- I'm afraid that at some point the number of submitted filters per day will exceed our daily rendering capacity. We're already working on this.

Hi Vladimir

If that is the case then I probably have a duplicate filter in the cue. They are identical submissions so please delete one of them.

vladimir,

ah, ok. that clears that up then. that's fine. i just wanted to make sure i hadnt screwed something up.

you can also delete one of mine mentioned in the first post here. they are duplicate filters where only the name is different. whichever name you like better is fine.
