FF12 works fine with Elements 2025. When I load FF13, I get the following message:

Also, FF13 does not recognize Elements as a plug-in during installation.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug?

Find some info Here use the elements file structure instead of the photoshop structure.

Thanks. ...so basically, I need to change 'false' in the config file to 'true.
I have tried multiple attempts to set up FF13 in Elements 2025, but I still get this message, no matter what I do:
<class XFW::StateError> The control <class Controls::Control>@000000000CD04560 has no window handle.>
(I've tried both x64 and non-x64 files, changing the false element to true).

Yes try that and see if that works. This is what the Filter forge manual plugin install shows.

I did try that and it still does not work. Could it be the FF13 doesn't work with Elements 2025?

It is possible that FF does not work with Elements. I do not use Elements so I am not able to try it to find out.
EDIT... I am downloading the trial so I will upload a video in the next day or so or I will post an update...

I downloaded the trial of Elements and created a video of how to install FF manually. FF 13 and Elements manual install

Nice aurora pic!
Thanks so much. This worked.
The step that I missed was to save the changes to the config file. When I changed the parameter 'false' to 'true', I thought the change was being saved but it was not.

Also, I tried saving the changes directly in the Adobe plug-in directory, but was not allowed to save them because I did not have administrator access. When I copied the file to my desktop (as you did), saved the changes, and copied it back to the Adobe directory, I was allowed to do so.

Glad you got it working. When I first started working on the fix and just using windows in general I came to the conclusion that copying that file to the desktop to change is faster.
Now copy that folder to a safe place so you do not have to go through the steps again. If you have to reinstall Elements or update the software all you need to do
is copy that folder over to the plugins folder.

Thanks, I have a lot of pics of the aurora for this year. It was very active this year and shown up more then usual around the northern part of the US where I am...Sleepless nights but so much fun.... smile:D
