Filter download fail 12.005 windows

Prompted by my V12 FF to update; did so to 12.005 and now it seems that download of V12, V11 filters causes an error "get-filter-xml(16325,1) failed" and similar with different parameters - managed to download a V9 filter.
Any ideas ? I notice this was a transient error about a year ago

Edit - rebooted PC 'just in case' and downloaded a V5 filter but failed again on a V12 one.

Edit 2 uninstalled V10 V11 of FF in case of conflict. Downloaded Cubes (early release) but failed on Leafy V12

edit 3 12 hours later Leafy V12 download fine...... my earlier attempts were around midnight UK time -- was some sort of update to database / website happening?
