Shortly after I installed Filter Forge 9 a couple of months ago, I found the button to go get more filters and found a bunch of interesting ones which downloaded just fine. I can see them in my History. I was using firefox.
Today I opened up Filter Forge and headed to the filter library from the link in the upper right corner, found some filters, but when I click on Open This Filter in Filter Forge, the only thing that happens is that the button seems to do a clicky thing, but nothing happens in Filter Forge and nothing is in my history. I have tried several different filters in firefox. I then tried edge, and it wants me to find an app in microsofts library, which it doesn't have. It doesn't give me the option to look on my pc.
What could have happened between firefox and Filter Forge to make it stop working and how can I make it work again?
Thanks!

In your Firefox, please go to Tools > Options > Applications tab -- is 'filterforge' there in the Content Type list?

Please try the following:
1. In Firefox, go to Tools > Options > Applications tab. Find 'filterforge' in the Content Type list.
2. In the Action column for filterforge, click the drop-down menu and select Use Other > Browse > C:\Program Files\Filter Forge 9\Bin, double-click the Filter Forge.exe file inside the Bin folder, then, when returned to the Firefox window, click OK.

This will set Filter Forge as the default software to open filter files, and this should solve the problem.
