FF8 freezes on export

Just playing around with FF8 for the first time and tried to export images .. even tried withe xporting the default image on startup (600x600 nothing fancy).

I open the Export Dialog and when I click on "Export..." FF8 seems to freeze immediately - it shows a 10% CPU usage but is unresponsive - I let it run for several minutes with no change. Saving the image works just fine - just exporting freezes

Is it supposed to need VERY long or is it just freezing for an unknown reason? (the computer used is pretty beefy and runs Win10 64)

Any ideas / recommendations?

edit: eventually it finished and asked for location to save - I haven't watched it, but it took definitely longer than 30 minutes to present me the "file dialog" - is it supposed to be like that?

(btw.: the forum shows the users Display Name at "Last Post" but the username everywhere else)

reiti_net, please remove your Filter Forge, then reinstall the latest version from the download page.
