Hi !
I try to download filters, but a litle window said that it is impossible open this app for filterforge... the protocole on this adress is not valid... verify that the adress is correct and try again. I also try with Ie, Firefox and Google chrome... it stills impossible. Please, I need your help. visit https://gisoft.ca |

Thank you. Does Filter Forge itself work correctly?
The easiest way is to re-download and reinstall FF from the download page. A more complex way is to fix the protocol handler. For Internet Explorer, you need to go to Internet Properties > Programs > Set Programs > Associate a file type or a protocol with a program > assign "Filter Forge.exe" to the "filterforge//" protocol. Sorry, I have no idea how all this is called in French. |

One of the possible causes of this error is when you install FF into one folder (e.g., into Program Files) and then move it into another folder. The protocol handler will be surely broken then.

yes it works correctly
I did not change the FF folder, it stills in place since... If I download once again FF5, my key will stille there or I will loose it ? Because when we enter the key, it is not possible to see it visit https://gisoft.ca |

This is very helpful as I am having a similar problem. I use Firefox and was able to associate the filter forge protocol with the filter forge program (see linked image). The problem is that if I already have Filter Forge open I get a response that "Filter forge is already running".
Do you have any suggestions for my next step? Thank you.  |

I'm sorry I just figured this out, I used the Filter Forge x64.exe in the above error, if I just used the Filter Forge.exe (no x64) everything worked. Thanks.
