I'm having an issue where I simply don't know what to select to get rid of a line in the image when I select 'Show Border' and that line runs somewhere in the image and much of the time it is directly down the center, sometimes near the edge, or bottom.

Is happening when I create a 1920 x 1080 image, the image is as small as 960 x 1080, on account of the line.

Basically, how do I remove the line before rendering? Is there something in the menus that might have either been accidentally clicked on that needs to be reversed or is there something I need to click on and alter to move that line all the way over to one edge or the other, or even altogether (preferred)?

Version: FF 4.015 Pro (Win). Filters: Those with enabled seamless tiling, this happened with the 'diagonal blocks' and the 'log wall' filters, those are the two that I saw this with but it could be widespread which indicates a configuration errror sas noted possible earlier.

The Show border line simply shows the boundaries of the current image. It won't be visible in the final render.

Got a screenshot. Tried selecting a fill color too, that had been done earlier but I just tried a render on another filter that had the same issue and that did nothing.

Filter in this image is the 'Diamond Blocks', settings include unchecking 'diagonal blocks' box.

I took it down to 480 x 320 to be sure it fit for the forum, and the line did move slightly to the right of where it had been but not much so still only about 70 percent of the image is seen in final. Render settings used are 16 bit and no compression. This is also a .png file.

That's strange, Hitting F5 duplicated my post, was supposed to refresh things so I could see if there was a reply.

Still not working.

It appears to have to do with the 'before/after' wipe line. This is where you can look at an image and see what the effect or texture looks like on the image 'after' application, as well as before, and the line, when moved, shows what the part of the image to the right is supposed to look like.

What you see above is the reverse of that, the image to the right is not what I'm trying to get, it's what you see on the left that should fill the whole image. I've also found that moving the slider does nothing, after rendering everything you see above is still there, and when selecting 'Show border' that line separating the two parts still shows in exactly the same place even when moved.

Try disabling seamless tiling. Seamless tiling happens with square images hence FilterForge is rendering only the necessary pixels.

And yeah, the pink area just indicates that there's nothing there smile;).

Will that still allow a true HD render at 1920 x 1080 (1080p) if I uncheck seamless tiling? This one is a filter whose images and randomization has fine detail, and it shows the seamless tiling correctly in previews save for that separator which is shown in the shot above. On the FF screen, it shows that right side as filled in and all around it filled in when 'Show border' is checked it also shows the border with that line between the two areas.

Having to do a video shoot this morning, so it will be later this afternoon or tonight before I can try a render.

I noticed the filter in the picture is called Cottage Log Wall.

The quick answer is yes, if you just disable seamless tiling FilterForge will draw/render the entire canvas size. Show borders is displaying only the area in which something will be rendered, the rest will be pink.

If you're concerned still, I made a 1920x1080 image in FilterForge and unchecked seamless tiling. It renders the entire image as seen here with the preview.

That works, and also setting the dimensions of the output to anything like 2:1 as 4:3 (which 1920 x 1080 is close to if not exactly) results in a non-integer ratio (has a fractional part to it such as 1.5.

FF Support found that was the most likely issue, not specifying ratios where the denominator at its lowest point was a fractional or decimal, it would create that pink area. Making it a 2 to 1 aspect ratio did the trick, and all I have to do now is complete a render, take the image and run it through a graphics program like Photoshop or Canva, and crop to desired specifications. Will also work even if your target image size is anything else that is not an integer ratio.

Applies to 'discrete' filters. The documentation states those are like this filter, anything that involves bricks, tiles, kaleidoscopes, and a few other things similarly. Now since 'discrete' is not in the description of some, some may not realize that this can happen and find out by trial and error.
