I have a super weird problem. I use FF with adobe and when I go to open FF to use it it is huge. I can't even resize it down to a normal window to use it. I am not sure if this makes sense but the window for FF is to large on my screen and I can't resize it down to even get to the apply button to start the filters. All my other windows are fine I can dl new filters but when I go to open it to use it I get this window size problem. Nothing is in super large print or anything it's all normal except for not being able to resize it. Can someone please help me. It's very frustrating trying to resize the window and it not letting me.

I would suggest temporarily making your resolution very large so you can scale it down, and then set it back, although I don't know what's causing the issue. Roses are #FF0000
Violets are #0000FF
All my base are belong to you.

ranwall, what is your screen resolution? Our minimum system requirement is 1024x768.

My screen res is ok. My other filter programs run fine it's only FF that is this massive screen. I will take a screen shot and show you.
ok so this is what I get when I try and run ff. I have PS open and I get this massive window. It will not let me scale down the window at all. I can move it around but this is what I get. I can't even scroll down to hit the apply button on it. It keeps this size all the time. But only with FF no other programs.

Would you please try what I posted before? I've done it for other things and it works.
If you don't know how, here's a quick tut:
1. Right-click desktop
2. go to Personalize
3. at the bottom, there is a 'See also' section, right under should be Display
4. at the top of the new window there is an 'Adjust Resolution' button. Click it.
5. there should be a dropdown menu with resolutions, if you can set it higher, do so.
6. scale down FF
7. put resolution back to original size. Roses are #FF0000
Violets are #0000FF
All my base are belong to you.

+1 to Betis. Also, clicking the 'Maximize' button can help.

Thanks Betis but still doesn't work doing that and using it as a stand alone doesn't do the trick. It will not let me resize in any res I try.

I dont mean to be a pest but the number one thing technical support asks first is. "Have you tried restarting the computer?"
And I think you can skip the second question; "Is the power out?"
Im going to assume you have already tried this, however you might have to run the program as administrator or do as Krae suggested. We walk through life building our castles but far to many cease to build the foundations.

I'm not sure if I can bump this topic but the solutions above don't solve my problem, which is the same. My current resolution is 1920 X 1080 as per the native resolution of my 23 inch widescreen monitor. Only FF has this problem where windows that are cut off. I can't resize the windows very well, particularly the Filter editor, where the "save filter" button is not visible on the screen. The diagonal arrows on the edge of the window do not reduce the window size properly. What can I do? Don't step on a dead dogma. It'll turn up again and bite you!

PayPaul, does it happen in the plugin or in the standalone mode?
Can you double-click the window title to maximize and fit the window to the screen?

It happens only in the standalone version. When I maximize that window, especially in the Filter Editor, the bottom half of that window is cut off in the standalone version. Don't step on a dead dogma. It'll turn up again and bite you!

Is it a multi-monitor setup and if yes, does it happen on the primary or a secondary monitor?

It is a multi-monitor setup. It happens on both screens. Don't step on a dead dogma. It'll turn up again and bite you!

PayPaul, I assume you're running Windows?
Please delete the following file:
c:\Users\your_user_name\AppData\Roaming\Filter Forge 5\Preferences.xml
and try again.

Yes I am running Windows 10. This solution fixed the problem and now I can resize the window fore the standalone version. This only works in the image creation window but not the filter editor window. It's weird that this behavior only happens in the standalone version not the plugin. Thanks for the help anyway.
