I'm getting this message on starting up FF after a reboot. Subsequent restarts do not display this message. Is there any way to get rid of it? How can I find the specific filter file that is missing? --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

A shortcut in Favorites is pointing to a non-existing filter. How many Favorites do you have?
There is no simple way to find the missing file, but you can open the %APPDATA%\Filter Forge 4\Favorites.xml file in a text editor and compare the values of the Filter path tag to actual filter files on your disk. |

Just one Favorite, and FF locates the file just fine.
Probably a hiccup from transferring the %APPDATA%\Filter Forge 4\ folder from another machine. Deleted the Favorite, and it appears the error message is gone for good now. --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

Ok, this still happens with no favorites defined at all (and the Favorites.xml deleted btw). The cause must lie elsewhere.

Please try deleting Recent.xml and/or System\Newfilters.xml as well.
