Yesterday I downloaded Filter Forge 3 Demo and installet in to Windows 7 64bit with Photoshop CS6 Plugin. But Filter Forge 3 will not open ...

I uninstall it, and reinstall it again with deactivated internet security / Firewall - without success. (I Run it also as Administrator.)

What I observed, it installs the Program in C:\Program Files (x86)\Filter Forge 3. Even the Photoshop plug in the correct folder. But there is nothing in C:\Users\%benutzer%\AppData\Roaming\ ???

Any thoughts?

No, there is no response ...

(Photoshop crashing when I choose FF from plugin filters and freezing up. I have to
go to the task manager to "kill" PS to get it to shut down.)

It does work in the Safe mode.

The exception filter at the security suite, I have since yesterday:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Filter Forge 3\Bin\Filter Forge.exe

And for Files:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Filter Forge 3\Bin
C:\Program Files (x86)\Filter Forge 3

But it does not work.

Glad to know everything works for you, Davids.

For anyone who would read this in the future: if nothing happens when you start Filter Forge (no response as a standalone and host crashing when used as a plugin) this is a symptom of an external software preventing FF from running. You can check this if you reboot into the Safe mode and try running FF: if it runs correctly the issue is 100% caused by an antivirus, virus, debugger or another low-level software running at Windows startup and blocking FF. Period. There is no other cause. You can locate the culprit, uninstall it or complain to its developers – but we cannot help at all when the issue is caused by another software.
