Anyone had any problems submitting a filter today?
I've been trying to submit a filter for a few hours now, and i keep getting the same error every time:
Everything else works, downloaded filters with no problem. Any ideas? |

Morgantao, did you try rebooting your computer? When I have fail errors of any kind in FF this usually fixes it.

I've been having the same problem lately as well. I get the same error message. Tried a couple of different Wifi spots and even dial-up. Has anyone tried to reinstall FF?

I think the cause is the fact that there are many submissions. It's happened before and it does not depend on us, but FF. I do not think we should uninstall and reinstall FF. Traffic will eventually decrease.

I tried again with a filter I've tried many times on many computers.. no go. Then I tried another filter I had done and it worked. Tried the one that had failed so many times, changing out all the names and description.. Still would not work.. Same error.
Not sure what the issue is. colin Fizgig |

I said I was going to try to submit my own filters, they are now finished, but have yet to try them better and see if there coud be any error on different images, as they work well with built-in images but probably not so well with other kind of images.
So It will take a little more time. And also so it probably will be fixed this problem and will not have problems when submitting ![]() |

Have any of you folks figured out this problem yet? I still am unable to upload filters. There are new filters in the library, so everybody is not having the problem. I've got the coolest filters ever that I want to upload, (OK, I'm probably streching the true there a bit) and I thought that someone from FF would have commented on this by now. Maybe It's just me ......

Is this not fixed yet ???
Yes, I thought that as there have been new filters in these days, this problem have been already solved.
OH! the coolest filter ever ? I want to see them, please help to fix this so the upload can be possible and we can see these coolest filters ![]() I am already preparing my own cool filters that I hope I will be releasing this next week. |

Gene, the way I managed to solve this is simply create the filter from scratch, and maybe changing a bit the components.
In my filter I added a little feature, after rebuilding the whole thing again as a new filter. I also changed the description and the keywords a bit. Seemed to do the trick. I don't know what causes this bug, and seems FF inc. doesn't have a simple explanation (or any explanation for that matter) as to why this happens. Maybe if we all take it to the bug report forum it will get more attention from the dev team. |

I wish there was a simple 'submission server status' somewhere on the website (something like a discrete 'online/'offline' colored warning), so authors will be aware if the should wait to submit their work another time.

Gene S Morgan, has the issue been resolved?

GMM .... For me,no. It sounds like some folks have found some kind of work around. I'm going to try with a different filter tonight as Morgantao suggested. I'm on dial-up, so it will take awhile. I will try with a new filter and if that works I will try to redo the old ones. This has gone on with me for about 4 weeks. It started when I uploade 2 other filters and the third one got the error message and have not been able to upload since. Any ideas?

GMM .... OK, I'm just not getting this. I uploaded a very simple filter of mine and it seemed to be accepted. But, then I tried one I had tried before and got the same old error message. My filters are never very complicated or big. I don't understand why some are Ok and others are not. Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated ...

maybe if we upload the filters that give us the error to the forum and have the dev team look at them there will be a solution to this bug.
GMM, should I upload a filter sample here, or should I create a new thread for it in the bugs and problems forum? |

Morgantao, Gene S Morgan: what OS and Filter Forge version do you use?
Please don't create a new thread for the same issue – I will move this one to the corresponding forum. And yes, please post the problem filters here or email them to the support team. |

I'm on a win7 64 machine, using lateset FF3 pro.
Here's a filter that I couldn't upload, so I just recreated it from scratch (with a few minor changes): Ball Pit V2.ffxml |

GMM ... I'm sending my 2 filters that have failed to upload as you requested. I'm also on a win7 64 machine, using lateset FF3 pro. I run in 32 bit mode bacause I use Photo Shop 7. I had a thought about the timing of our uploads and maybe the date had something to do with the trouble. Morgantao changed his filters, but at the same time he resaved them changing the update file date. I'm going to try to upload a filter that I have resaved. It is worth a shot .... Thanks for trying to help us out .... Gene

I have already sent 2 filters with the submit wizard and had no problems, so it must depend on the submit way of managing the filters and not that it is not working.
