Each time I try to open Filter forge 3, I keep getting this message, <class XFW::ArgumentError> Invalid preview image id = 'COLOURlovers.com_Ruffles'
When I made a filter I changed the preview image, as I thought this would load my image instead of the lifesaver one. Can anyone help me to change this back as I have sent countless error reports and had no reply. I need help on this matter a.s.a.p. as I cannot use the programme smile:(

Thank you for any help
Kevin

Have you changed the place of the COLOURlovers.com_Ruffles image?

This error is probably because this image has been moved or is not available anymore in the same place that was when you added it to the filter.

Please check that this image is really in the SAME place as before when you added it and it will fix itself.

If this does not work,Probably you could fix this if you delete the Preferences.xml file and/or the Options.xml file

This are in the %APPDATA% folder and then look for Filter Forge

Tried the above but made no difference smile:( . The problem is not with the filter I made as people are downloading it.
I need to change the image id for the programme back to the original one. Because I stupidly changed it, the programme is trying to open using the Ruffles image as the default one for all filters, and creates an error because all filters do not use that image. I don't know where the default image is located to change it back or the name of the original one. (is it possible to do this using the files on my comp or will somebody have to change it from their end?) smile:cry:

Hope someone can understand the problem and can help me to rectify it.

Sorry that I do not understand what you have done to be able to change the default image.

Please, it would be useful to know HOW you have been able to change the default image for the Ruffles image, because I really do not know how to do it, and even I thought that this was not possible.

The ruffles image is inside the filter or inside the filter forge system ?

Perhaps there is radical and absolute solution that could be done if everything else has been done.

Delete the filter that you have done with the Ruffles image from the Library.XML and the Lybrarystructure.xml and then make a backup of the filters and uninstall FF and reinstall again

Thanks SpaceRay, where do i locate this file %APPDATA%, I cannot find it anywhere in the Filter Forge 3 files?.

I deleated the filter and all relevant files associated with it, and it seems to have worked. Will let you know if I have any problems with it. Thanks for you help, much appreciated.

The %APPDATA% is not a file is the way to find the Filter Forge hidden folder inside the Windows System

You can have more information about this in the thread

Where are the downloaded Filter Forge filters located physically?

Kevin, please rename or move the "%APPDATA%\Filter Forge 3\" folder to any other name/location and reinstall Filter Forge.
