Seamless? Resolution? PS Plugin?

Converting inches to pixels 12x12 inches at 300dpi = 3600 x 3600 pixels.

Filter Forge non professional versions ONLY allow until 3000 x 3000, so you can´t use any higher resolution than this unless you upgrade.

BUT I think that there could a possible solution that you could try.

3000 x 3000 at 250 dpi = 12 x 12 Inches

So you could try to print at 250 dpi and see if you see any quality difference and this way you would not have to upgrade.

Have you checked the seamless checkbox in the Filter Forge (FF) settings ?

As I have said above you could save at 3000x3000 with 250dpi and still get 12 x 12 inches, but the quality depends very much on the image and the definition you want and need and also on the surface you want to print it. On high gloss photo paper and high quality magazines is supossed that the best is 300 dpi.

I think that the best for this would be to test it yourself, save the result at 3000 x 3000 at 250 dpi and print it and see what happens and if there is a clear difference from a 300 dpi print.

Well, for activating FF inside Photoshop you need to have the layer or image you want selected and then go to the Filters menu and search for the Filter Forge link and after clicking on it FF will open.

If the filter gives a result with transparency the layer CAN´T be the fixed background and must be a layer (double click on the fixed background to convert it to a layer)

Sorry that it seems that in the help guide there is not a article about how to use FF plugin inside Photoshop.
