Hi, After solving the mystery of finding all the HU filters (Past and present), I was wondering if you google gurus can think of a way to search all the ffxml files that were posted in the forums?
I have seen a lot of threads where people post a filter that wasn't library worthy (according to the author), and was wondering if the was a was to find them all.
Thanks everybody smile:bunny:

I think that this could be much more difficult as the files included in the posts I think are not indexed or shown as "text" and then neither FF search or Google search will be able to find them

I have already made a similar search in Google and FF, and the only thing that apears when looking for .ffxml files is when .ffxml is WRITTEN on the post but not when a .ffxml file is attached to the post.

As you say perhaps, someone knows a way to find attached filters to post making a search, and be possible perhaps in some way that I do not know.

OK, is there a way to search (with google or anything else) a phrase or a word in the HTML code itself?
For example, if I wanted to see all the pictures in the forums, I'd search for "<img src="

As far as I have found, the only way to do something like that is to download all of the FF website and then word search inside the HTML documents on my computer.

put this in your google:

"*.ffxml site:www.filterforge.com"

That tells it to look for all instances of *anything* ending in .ffxml, in the domain of www.filterforge.com

You could try to narrow it down to just the formus, etc. Here's the URL for an uploaded FFXML file:
"http://www.filterforge. com/upload/forum/upload/302/Ink%20ghosts_RD.ffxml"

I already tried that, but most results are irrelevant. smile:(
It gives me all the forum posts that tell people how to download ffxml files from the forums, etc...
I'm sure there are more files on the forums, that this google search doesn't show...

*.ffxml site:www.filterforge.com/forum

Does NOT work either as expected, BUT it seems to find some of them, will see how to make it better
