You still have not replied, I still cant open a single this with filter filter forge. There is no phone number and no way of contacting you. I want my money back if you are going to be negligent and not assist me. So either give me a phone number so I can speak with someone, or refund my money. If not I will be taking this to the BBB, and reporting you and taking action, this is poor business ethics!!! Are you running Filter Forge as a standalone (via Start > Programs) or as a plugin? It is a plug in, I would not have minded a stand alone version but it never gave me an option to install it. 2. If as a plugin, under which host? I have CS4 as well as photoshop elements 8 and windows vista pc operating system 3. When you launch Filter Forge, does it appear as an active process in Task Manager? No please see attachment 4. Can you run Filter Forge in Safe mode (see http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/wi...safe-mode)? Does it launch fine? nothing changes |

Have you sent bugreports of the errors you are getting ?
I have sent some bugreports and then two days after I got an answer from the tecnical department with an answer or "we know that error and we are working on fixing it" Also a specific moderator for solving and fixing FF problems is here normally from Monday to Friday, with the username GMM. So tomorrow probably he will probably see it and be able to say something about this. If you are not getting answer from the email, or from bugreport issues, the best way is the forum. |

I decided to go over the questions once more to see if I could further solve this issue... Please see below
1. Running FF as plugin or standalone? Running as standalone - Works in safemode, does not launch as regular session, does not appear in taskmgr. 2. As a plugin under which host? Attempted to open in both PShop CS4 and Elements 8, plugin does not appear, does not exist in taskmgr. 3. Does it work in safe mode? YES, as a standalone, plugin config NOT tested in safe mode. Please help... ![]() |

A bug report can be made when you have a error made by Filter Forge, it will appear a error window showing you the error, and then below it suggests you (or recommends) to send this bug report to the tech of Filter Forge, so when you agree to send it, it will open a webpage with the bug report and have to put your name, email and most important, what have you been doing when you got this error. BUT THE BUG REPORT WILL NOT SHOW IF FILTER FORGE DOES NOT EVEN START From what I see, you can´t even get to work and run either in standalone or plugin mode. Which version of Filter Forge are you using ? Which computer you have ? Which operative system you have ? The akamai error does not have nothing to do with FF, is only from Photoshop and Adobe. Does the Photoshop work right ? Could try disabling and eliminate the akamai controller, as this is ONLY needed (as far as I know) for downloading software from Adobe. |

Just wanted to drop a note and let the forum know that I was able to successfully launch FF3 as a standalone application while using Comodo Firewall WITHOUT fully disabling Defense+.
Here are the steps I took to achieve this... using Windows Vista FYI 1.) Open Comodo Firewall 2.) Click on 'Defense+' 3.) Choose 'Trusted Files' 4.) Click 'Add', Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Filter Forge 3\Bin, add ALL .exe files to the whitelist. Click 'Close' 5.) Choose 'Defense+ Settings' 6.) Choose 'Exclusion Control Settings' Tab, at the bottom of the pane, click 'Exclusions'. 7.) Click 'Add', Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Filter Forge 3\Bin, add ALL .exe files to the whitelist. Click 'Close' 8.) Close out of Comodo Firewall settings 9.) Launch FF3 10.) PROFIT. |

If the problem is the Comodo software you should follow this thread that you have already found here
http://filterforge.com/forum/read.php?FID=8&TID=8705 And also would be better to put this thread in the BUGS part of the forum, depending if you are using WIndows or MAC. |
