Well, you can´t export filters from Filter Forge (FF), and you can´t use any FF filter outside of FF, so you can´t importa any FF filter into Photoshop directly.
The only way available to use FF filters inside Photoshop is through the FF plugin (this should have been installed when you installed Filter Forge)and use the FF interfac application to import the images from photoshop to FF and the send theback to Photoshop. If FF is not installed in Photoshop, just copy the right and corresponding .8bf version of FF into your Photoshop filters folder. Also you can see these other threads links here below: Can FF be used directly from photoshop? Would be possible to use filter of FF in Photoshop as included inside? About Pixelmator, you can try to copy the filter forge plugin (.8bf) to the Pixelmator and see if it works and if Pixelmator could be compatible You can see also this tutorial article -->How to Install and Use Plugins in Pixelmator |

Thank you for answer, I'm sorry but just use Mac, it's still for me too hard understand "If FF is not installed in Photoshop, just copy the right and corresponding .8bf version of FF into your Photoshop filters folder. ". Could you tell where I can find this file and in which directory I must copy it.

Have you installed Filter Forge in your MAC ?
The plugin should have been installed already automatically inside Photoshop, have you checked if Filter Forge is included in the filters list ? If not installed, you could try to install FF again. And if what you want is to install in Pixelmator, I am sorry but I do not have a MAC so I do not know how to do it manually. |

The FF filters ARE NOT in the Photoshop filter list, ONLY the Filter Forge plugin, so you must activate the FF plugin, and when the FF window opens from photoshop you will be able to see the FF filters.
The filters CAN Never be inside Photoshop because they are not compatible, and as said before ONLY work inside Filter forge If you are going to use a filter that needs a base image you MUST have this image ready BEFORE activating the FF plugin |

Yes I understood that, but there is no FF plugin (I use Photoshop element 9, may be that is the problem?)

No, FF is totally compatible with Photoshop elements 9 as you can see here
http://www.filterforge.com/download/hosts.html Can you try to install again Filter Forge and see that when installing it finds the Photoshop elements installation ? And so then the installer will put the FF plugin inside Photoshop. I can´t tell where is the plugin located in the MAC version of FF as I do not know. |

So you have ALSO installed Adobe Photoshop CS ?
And you have installed Photoshop elements AFTER installing Filter Forge ? Then you need to reinstall Filter Forge and tell it that you want to use ALSO the Photoshop elements 9 when the installing window will ask you where you want to install the plugin |

So I tried, but the program didn't ask me about this possibility, to instal the plug in, thats because it is mac not PC, and it does not work with elements 9, I'll try with Photoshop CS4, will see how it will work

FF works also on Photoshop Elements 9 on MAC (why would not work?), if you have also CS4 it must work for sure, unless there some strange thing in your MacOS, or are you doing something wrong that does not let FF install correctly.
As far as I know is NOT because you are using a MAC that it can´t install in Elements 9 Which version of Filter Forge is it ? |

Oh,yes, I am very sorry that I have seen it badly, and did not see that MAC is ONLY compatible with Full Photoshop CS2 to CS5, and not elements. I do not know if it could be interesting for you to read this thread here What are the differences between using FF as standalone and as plugin? |

You should only need copy and paste the Filter Forge.8bf plugin into Photoshops plugins folder.
That is all i had to do for Photoshop CS5 12 Extended anyways. Rod

The problem is that he doesn´t now WHERE is the Filter Forge .8bf on MAC, and I do not know either, so this is why I have recommended and suggested to install again the filter forge and so it will be installed automatically |
