Hello,

I have been searching on the Filter Forge Forum, Tutorials, Wiki and help guide but have not found any reference on how to use in the best and correct way Filter Forge with actions in Photoshop so that some things could be done automatically and repeated.

For example to make a action to batch render in FF and apply the same filter and same settings to 40 photos

Another example is to apply 10 different filters to the same photo, and get 10 different photo results each one with only ONE of the filters applied.

I have also been searching with google but have not found nothing either.

The only probably thing is to use the command line renderer (CLR) as seen in this thread here and here

BUT I do not want to use this CLR, I want to be able to use the photosop Actions.

Please, is there any help for creating Actions for using FF in Photoshop ?

Thanks very much

i would think your best bet is to check the photoshop manual(s) and helps and help sites. someone else here mentioned that you could do it, so maybe they'll chime in, too. but there shld be plenty of sites that give instructions on using actions.
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Thanks for the suggestion Kraellin, I have already seen a photoshop manual, but it seems that I am not able to know to how to do it, and what I have tried it does not work, so that is why I am asking this here, as I do not know what happens.

Perhaps is because what Crapadilla has wrote in this other thread

Could this be done in some way inside photoshop using FF plugin and actions ????

You will need to be able to choose the filter you want after the render result, or have the ability to list, name or "program" the filters you want already in the action.

No, it's not possible because PS does not 'talk' to FF about the filter or preset being used -- it's just the layer data being exchanged. Therefore, the 'action recording' part has to happen inside FF.

So it seems that is not possible to make and action because PS does not "talk" to FF and for recording to be able, must happen inside FF, and this is not possible in the FF actual version.
