Hello,

I have been thinking that it would be very good if there was also threads about instructions, tutorials, hints & tips and recommendations about USING Filter Forge Filters.

There is already CREATING but not a subforum for USING the filters

Wouldn´t be good to make a new Subforum dedicated know how to use the filters in the best way and to make and get the most from the thousands of awesome and wonderful filters that are available ?

I have seen lots of filters that looks very good and are very interesting but sometimes you do not know how to use them in the best way, what settings would get you the best results, and how to use those setting in a better way, and also the authors could probably, if they want, could make some tutorials and instructions about how to get the most of the filters they have made and give examples and before and after images.

This could be a boost and stimulate the use of filter forge and filters that probably are really great and useful but really do not know how to get the most from it, or how is the best way to use it.

Another idea is to give tips on what is the best wat to prepare the photos to be processed by the filter in the possile way. Perhaps if the photo have a high contrast, or less saturated colors, or is softened, or whatever the filter could give better results.

This should already be included in the filter description.

There's already a tutorials section under the "More..." tab, but it is a little "sparse". Some gallery-submitters give tutorials in the descriptions there as well.

A fleshed-out tutorials subforum could be useful, but it's not that important considering that every artist works differently. We already have fixed filters; would you further restrict creativity by having fixed methods of using them?

Feel free to create new threads in the General Discussion forum. If there will be plenty of threads on the same topic we could think of a dedicated subforum.
