I have seen that there a are many filters that have an EP (Editor´s Pick) which I think that it means that this filter has been specially rewarded, selected by FF Inc. and featured to be included in the hall of fame of Filter Forge collection, and will appear in the Featured Filters list.
I wonder How is given an EP to an filter ? What is measured or is important to give this reward ? Is it usefulness, filter construction, originality, beauty of the effect, customization, innovation, or a combination of all of these ? Is not because of High usage or high downloads because this can be given in the same moment that is released. I suposse that the only judge to give an EP is from someone (or a group of persons) working from FF inc. and is not by FF users. When is given an EP to a filter? 1 - When the first time the filter is released ? 2 - After some time that is released and it becomes popular ? 3 - Posibly by FF users demand and request ? |

Thanks very much for your answer GMM BUT you have not answered the main point of this thread and is how is decided that a EP should be given to a filter
Perhaps you did not answer them because you really do not know the answer, because you are not the one who gives the EP, but you could ask to the responsible and EP giver person or group these questions below. Please could be so kind to answer these answers too? I wonder How FF Inc. decides and agree to give an EP to a filter ? What is measured or is important to give this reward ? Is it usefulness, filter construction, originality, beauty of the effect, customization, innovation, or a combination of all of these ? When looking at the featured filter list I do not see a pattern and real why this filters have been choosen and not others. Thanks very much |

SpaceRay, how do you tell a good book from a poor one? An outstanding piece of art from a mediocre one? Editor's Picks reflects personal preference of Kochubey and Vladimir. It's the combination of the factors you've mentioned and something called good taste
