Installed FF as stand-alone...but would also like to use it through PS as a plugin...is there a way to do this??? Tried "alternate plug-ins folder" option in PS preferences, but wouldn't connect to it...

open file location of FF3 and you will find a folder called "Plugin" ... copy ..... open PS files > Plug-ins > Filters and simply drop in the FF plugin folder and it will be listed in your filters smile:)

bummer, you might have to reinstall and use the option to include as plugin in ps, I imagine you already thought of that smile:)

make sure the .8bf file from FF is in your photoshop (or other grapic editor) plug-in folder. if you're doing it in paint shop pro, all you have to do is open psp and go to the options area and 'point' to the .8bf file. normally, if you have photoshop installed, FF will see it in the registry and offer the option to put the files in the proper photoshop directory for you.
