Use Image Problem

how can i use this http://www.filterforge.com/filters/3639-v4.html to make a seamless texture without the bars on the edge. I have downloaded filter forge, installed, rebooted. I do not want the white bars in the seamless texture. I opened it in photoshop, cropped out the bars and saved it. I close photoshop and open filter forge. I click file > open image, and sel ect the modified image, the progress bar proceeds and works itself to end but the image does not open. How can I open an image that is in my pictures? I opened the image in photoshop and clicked filter > filterforge and a window pops up saying "filter forge is running - click here to switch", nothing happens when I click it, it just stays there in photoshop blocking the window. This happens weather filter forge is running or not. If filter forge is already running then another window pops up "! Cannot run filter forge-the program is already running". All I want to do is use this image as a seamless texture. In filter forge, I open the original downloaded pre set and click settings and set end plank width to minimum (1) and the end plank is still there. I manualy enter "0" in the box and it does not change it. I want to remove the end plank and make a seamless texture. How can I do that? I am new to this app, just downloaded it to test it to see if I want to buy a few licenses for a few of my modeling computers. This app appears to be easy to use, but I am stuck right from the getgo. I am very smart and learn anything extremely fast. What am I doing wrong? What exactly do I have to do to use this image without the bars on the end as a seamless texture? Please help, tyvm.
EDITING,.. ok I think that above image is created that way to have the end bars on it. So now then just answers for the items needed.
