I have 2.0 version now for 3 months and have been running my own updates. Today I ran the latest update and now my FF is refusing to run. I get this pop-up box ~

class XFW::IO::FileNotFound> File 'C:\Program Files\Photoshop 6.0\Plug-Ins\Filter Forge 2\Resources\CurvePresets.xml' not found.

Filled out a bug report twice but haven't heard anything as yet and FF is still refusing to run. Wondering if anyone as encountered this problem?

Thanks ahead time for any feedback

Thanks GMM ( Moderator)

The link you provided is for a free trial. I bought the 2.0 version, will this give me back my original purchased 2.0 edition?

How can I restore the original purchased package? The disc FF sent me doesn't work. Any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

Update: Thanks GMM moderator,

I uploaded FF just now on the link you provided above and it stored my fave list.

But on my second try at using my 2.0 version am unable to download any filters at the FF library.

On my third try it locked completely refuse's to work and i get this same pop-up message ~
"class XFW::IO::FileNotFound> File 'C:\Program Files\Photoshop 6.0\Plug-Ins\Filter Forge 2\Resources\CurvePresets.xml' not found. "

So guess I will try another attempt at downloading the free trial link..not sure what else to do at this point smile:(

Latest update~

just now when I opened FF and clicked on FF library to download a filter, i got the original message that ended up crashing my FF to begin with.

Here is the original message that crashed my FF~

" To access the filter Library, you must have a newer version. Click here to update"

Have a feeling this might have been a false update message and probably had a virus attached. smile:cry:

Thanks for the detailed info. Most probably you have two copies if Filter Forge installed. Please search your computer for 'Filter Forge.exe', and if you find two instances, delete one of them and run the other.

Thanks GMM Moderator for getting back to me. No I do not have 2 copies of FF only one.

Still happening when I click on FF library to download a filter, I get the original message that ended up crashing my FF to begin with.

Here is the original message that crashed my FF~

" To access the filter Library, you must have a newer version. Click here to update"

Should I start from scratch and de-install my one version and then download the free trial/link you provided and type in my License Key # for my 2.0 ?

Not sure what to do now. Any suggestions?

Yes, you probably need to uninstall each and every reference to Filter Forge you can find, and then reinstall the latest version.
