Hi
Does the 70% holiday discount apply to upgrades i.e. v2 Basic to v2 Professional? The prices for this are still the previous 50% discount offer. Thanks Richard |

If i upgraded to V2 now would that mean i get V3 for free? Or would i have to upgrade now and then do the same later or could i just upgrade from V1 to V3 also?

This is why you don't mention the next Version of software only a few months after the release of a new version. Likely V3 is a year away at best. Though I could be wrong.
Don't get me wrong, I adore Filter Forge, but it's got some SERIOUS workflow and interface issues, which if carried to yet another version... As a user I would rather have these issues dealt with and keep the V2 feature set. I don't want more features, I want more functionality. Though.. both would be idea. ![]() the artist formerly known as Bongo51 |

No, unless you've got a Free lifetime upgrades reward.
Have to? We don't force anyone to upgrade. Previous FF versions will always remain functional.
I think this will be decided closer to the v3 release. |

Thing is that it's currently cheaper to buy a new Pro license (-70%) than to upgrade (-50%) fr om Basic.
This means I won't be upgrading to Pro, which would mean I lose all the money I've already spend on FF, essentially throwing a licence in the bin. Is FF more interested in new customers than in looking after existing ones? If you're offering 70% off it suggests that you need as much business as you can get ![]() One last chance to extend the 70% discount to upgrade customers? I have lim ited funds and a number of potential purchases on my list ... if the answer is "no" then I'll be spending it elsewhere. Thanks Richard |

Yeah i agree RichardL, i think the new Lua scripting is a great feature and i can code it quite well also so i was considering upgrading to V2 today. I can use other apps for visual coding though and i am sort of put off by some of the GUI things like the re-rendering but i have still been highly considering buying with the offer.
When i look at the prices though it puts me off also, i mean firstly i don't get why it's 50% and not 70% also but the upgrade from V1 pro to V2 is just a bit less than buying standard new also. If they did the 70% upgrade discount though i would probably buy this also, i can't see it happening now though as the deal ends on the 25th. |
