Is there an easy way to download all of the available filters, or are we stuck doing them 1 by 1 on the website?
Thanks. |

in the menu of FF, i think it's the last one on the right, open the options or preferences or whatever that one is, and find the tab that allows you to turn on the 'obsolete' method of downloading. then, when you click on 'download filters' you will get a thumbnail library of images for the filters. simply click on the top left one and then scroll down to where you want to stop in that category and hold down the shift key and click on that last filter. then add those to the queue with the button that lets you do that. or, you can simply double click just those filters you want and move to the next and double click that one. or, i seem to recall you can just click on a category and then hit a button that says download all or something like that.
they're pretty standard windows type actions, so if you know windows then doing downloads this way shld be pretty familiar to you. sorry, i dont have FF open right now so i'm just going by memory and some of those buttons may not be right in name, but they are there. once you have all you want in a category checked, then hit the download now button or whatever that one says. one thing i've noticed at times is, dont try to download more than a few hundred at a time. it seems to cause an error and i also have trouble sometimes when i click on some in one category and then move to another category and click on some there. this also has produced errors in the past. mostly, it works and it could just be my fussy internet connection, so play around and find what works best for you. Thanks a million, Craig. I really appreciate it. There are just too many filters to download them 1 at a time. There are so many good ones I just wanted a way to get them all and sort the good from the bad later.
And by the way, your method and memory worked perfectly. ![]() Rod |

I was looking for the same and found this via Google and it worked excellent with 2 categories (creative and distortion - each entirely selected and downloaded) but now I get the error message every time, even when loading only 3 filters. 1 filter would work.
![]() edit: The Snipped category worked completely again (select all) I think there are some filters somewhere that block the internet access (time out?) and then it all aborts? |

Lizzy, the only way I know where you can mass download (lots of selected filters downloaded at the same time) can be done through the OLIFF (Obsolete Library Inside Filter Forge)
Advantages and Disadvantages of using the OL and OLIFF Filters Library Please, to know how to use it, go to the link above here |

Doesn't even mention the problem I face.
I downloaded the Misc category in smaller steps. Now only Patterns is missing. Doing small steps here too. Eventually filters that caused an abort will work the next day or few hours later. I guess it's a bug somewhere. |

More to the topic. I have downloaded dozens of filters over my time using Filter Forge. However, I prefer to be more selective at the onset rather than download em all and sort out the wheat from the chaff later.
