Hi, I downloaded the trial version of FF yesterday and got hooked so bought the basic version today. Filter creators, your work is amazing smile:D smile:loveff:

I cant seem to find a beginners guide tutorial (PDF) so been reading info from the forum. I have a quick question - if I want to apply multiple filters on a photo in photoshop - do I apply one first, then re-open FF and apply the next one to the same photo and so on? Or do I create duplicate layers of my photo and run a filter on each layer, then blend them all in?

Many thanks! smile:D

Hi Veevs,

Welcome to the wonderful world of Filter Forge & the Forums, you will love it here. smile:)
Sooo many super talented Artists,Designers, etc. here, with so much knowledge to share. smile;)

Check the Wiki, lots of educational tips there.
Photoshop - You could do as you said, always save a copy of your original. I like the experimental approach, just jump in & go for it. I found, sometimes your best will come by accident. Have fun & enjoy the program. I also purchased the basic version, then moved on up with the free copies.

Have a GREAT day, & Happy Filter Forgeing! smile:loveff: smile:)

Hi Veevs

Both methods will work but your get totally different results. Plus depends on which filters you use.

Knocked up an example.

Used Water color Painting by Kochobey & Thump by Carl. First image used both filters directly on the image no layering.

Nothing wrong with a little insanity ;)

second used same filters but duplicated the image. First duplicated image I used the water color painting effect then second layer I used Thump. Then used the layer function luminosity on the Thump layer (flatterned and saved. Sorry the images arnt too big, had to downsize them enough to upload smile:(

Hi Veevs, I carry forward a layer, duplicating each time a new effect is applied, this give you the advantage of being able to blend older layers with the carryed forward the single multiple effect layer. smile:)

Beliria love your samples smile8)
