Filter for the gills of a Mushroom?

Does anyone know of a filter that would be good for creating the underside of a mushroom (the gills)..? There's a filter called "Shrooms" but unfortunately the view of the gills is from the side and not from right under (which is what i want).

I'd look around for an eyeball texture. There's quite a few real quality ones in the library that might work well. In fact, I believe in the "shrooms" discussion, I mentioned the exact filter used.

A star filter works ok but it's not perfect, looking for something more organic.

I saw this post. I was wondering if I should just try. Here's a result I made within an hour... doesn't look great.

Hey, thanks! That's pretty good, which filter did you use?

I could use that for my smaller mushrooms smile:) (i need 1024 or 2048 res for my big shrooms). I'm making these models for a game mod.

I rendered a 9000x9000 pixel pic with the Shroom Filter and then after copying / pasting it (and flipping the copy) it i could use it as a complete, round underside.

Edit: how your image looks on one of my mushrooms, i desaturated it a bit..

Great, thanks. It says my FilterForge isn't up to date for that filter though, i guess it needs 2.0 (my trial has ended).

is the only option to get more trial days to order filter forge1.. seems stupid/strange if i don't get to use the beta if i buy an update to 2.0, the order page says ordering filter forge 1 is the only way.
