I have seen that in the filters page you can select to view filters by :
Featured filter
Popular filters
Recent Filters
Filters by categories
But I think that there is a tab missing for selecting the filters that are most used, although I do not know if the "Most Popular" tab is for the most downloaded or for the most used or for both.
This could give more options and select the filters that are really most used and not the most downloaded.

I think that is because that would surely ruin the day for new filters and filtermakers if filters that have been around for 3-4 years and have been very used before a better filter came along, those better and newer filters would never get the needed attention as they would not show up on the list, and that would kill the urge to make good filters, get HUs and by that increase the overall filter library.

I do not agree with this because, what happens just now with the "popular filters" tab, always appears the same at the beggining and is perhaps because they are the most downloaded or most used, or both, as I do not know how they know that a filter is more popular than another.
So what you say already happens with the "most popular filter" tab.
I am suggesting this because perhaps the most downloaded filter, perhaps is only because it seems attractive and nice, but then after only a few people use it, or perhaps just once in a while, while other very good filters would show up first, not because is most downloaded, because they are really useful and is used by many persons many times.
Is not this the way that the flter forge give the awards ? The give the awards when a filter have a high rank of use and not to the ones that are most downloaded.
Perhaps there could be also to avoid confusions, un tab with "most downloaded" and one with "most used"

Well I have an idea for this, and comes from the www.deviantart.com website, as they have thousands of resources and contents, and many have many years and very famous, so having just a most popular tab, would be of no use, so they have a way to choose "the most popular" or "the most downloadad" in a period of time
You can choose to see the results for 24 hours, for this week, for this month, for this year, and "all time" that means any time and includes all.
