Hey.....maybe it's just me.....but I think the FF site promos/ads/marketing is way too much.....to the point of being detrimental to the perceived integrity of the program..... I was like "yikes!!!" at the ones knocking author info off of the page when you look at presets..... Just my unsolicited, unwanted, un-asked-for opinion on it..... smile;) smile:)

Maybe something to remove them if you are already a registered owner of the software?

Yeah, that would work for us.....since we're already "sold" on it.....but the downside might make it kinda "trial-ware-ish".....like the ads, watermarks, etc will be removed if you buy the program.....

Besides knocking out info users want to see first.....I think all of that advertising works to place FF in the realm of sub-optimal programs that have to do all that self-promoting in order to prey upon the easily-misled.....

LOL..... Well, I know ad-blocker programs like "Selectview" don't work on it.....so it's worth a try..... smile;) smile:D

Hmmmmm.....I was just thinking.....maybe tripling FF version prices and offering a continuous 90% discount might work...... LOL..... just kidding..... I had to chuckle when I recently saw the discount stuck on "four days left" for qite a few days.....then just jumped to the 50% Holiday Discount..... LOL..... Have you no shame??? smile;) smile:D LOL.....

I agree, it should be fine on the first/product info pages but seems there is buy FF with a discount even on the forum which seems maybe a bit much.

I can't help but think it looks really unprofessional -the product is CONTINUALLY on offer, meaning the 'official' asking price is totally fake - you need never ever pay this, there is ALWAYS a discount on offer.

smile:devil: Well, it makes me kinds proud of the fact that, somehow, I managed to have to pay full price for FF. Maybe I temporarily slipped into an alternate reality or something. smile:D

Yeah i agree with that there has been a offer going basically everytime i have visited hehe. I think offers are a good idea but they should be every now and then rather than every day. smile;)

Well this current price allowed me to finally get the software I've had an eye on for a long time. I say deals are great!

I don't think anyone was complaining about the price but more that the sales are always going on.

Maybe they should just lower the price rather than have really long sales lots of the time. Might be a good idea because im guessing if a new user visited and purchased at a time one was not on and then there was a sale for half price the next few months they might not like it. I think we can all agree that sales and price reductions are great though just they seem more special when they are less often. smile;)

I don't know.....might be too much time to get customers desperate enough to make an immediate purchase.... smile;) smile:D LOL.....

Man, it "screams" on every page of everything here.....especially aggravating having to scroll down below it to get to filter info.....ruined the site with it IMHO..... smile:cry:

Oh, and bring Carl! He doesn't talk to me anymore for some unknown reason! smile:(

Hey Stevie & Dilla,

The page is as the page is, I guess. The F/F team doesn't seem to care what we say.
It is all about money I guess..The CLEAN look has been cluttered up with HUGE RED boxes. Too much of, hit you over the head with it, & for way too long. BUT, LOVE the new Beta 2 update! smile:loveff:

Dilla is all fired up about this Cookbook on the wiki. I wanted to call it: Crapadilla's Tips & Tricks. Maybe "Beginner's Cookbook," is a more general title.
I personally am not a writer, hard to write a article on trial & error. One must not venture out of his comfort zone..LOL smile;) smile:D There are so many super talented authors in the F/F community! I pray some of the GREATS, hate to mention names, in fear of leaving someone out. You all KNOW who you are! PLEASE, do jump onboard & help Dilla out. What do you think Stevie? Hope to hear from Carl too.

Have a GREAT day! smile:)

Later,
Ron

That'd be a bad name. smile:| smile;)

First, because it would put all the workload on me! Secondly, because the Beginner's Cookbook should be a collaborative effort of the FF community.

Currently I'm enthusiastic about it, but time will tell. So far only very few FF community members have devoted any time to the wiki, and this needs to change. After all, it's not like I'm the only one around here capable of penning something instructive about filter creation! Then there are some areas (like Offsets and Sample Caching, for example) that are outside of my expertise, so I'm hoping for the resident experts (you know who you are!) to step up and deliver on that!

Besides, it's the holiday season and thus a perfect time for getting into the altruistic mood. smile;)
