On the online ordering page, under Recommended Additional Products, it lists "Filter Library Backup". Does anybody know what this is and do I need it, for the extra $14.95?
Thanks, Greg |

gregb,
no, it's not absolutely necessary. that is a backup of the filter library. the library is totally free. you access it through filter forge and can download all the filters within the library for free. the 'Filter Library Backup' is just that, a filter library backup. and whereas i said it's not absolutely necessary, it is sort of nice to have, since it can take a little while to download 7000 filters (or whatever the library currently is). this way, you have whatever filters are currently in the library at the time you order the backup. filters added after that, obviously wouldnt be on the cd/dvd you ordered. (that's my take on it and that is NOT an official FF inc. statement. i do not work for FF inc. so, if they say otherwise, go with that ![]() If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!
