The quotes on the side are awesome, while they hard to read them all... (CSS = random quotes code) I keep enjoying the ones that name specific filters, and I find myself thinking, go crapadilla, or 3d, or krae, or many of the other various users. So my question is, has any of you found some that relate to them, or could relate to them? Id like to see if you guys can find em.
IE: "The Filter Forge Watercolor filter is so realistic that it’s scary. It is soooooooo GREAT! Trust me, you definitely need to check this out." Kochubey the world has recognized you. We walk through life building our castles but far to many cease to build the foundations. |

actually, they could be referring to northernshadow's watercolor. her's came before kochubey's. both are very good
![]() and if you want quotes, vlad, go to retouchpro and look at some of mine regarding filter forge. several folks over there are now using FF, besides me and byRo. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

You've got some pretty stellar names up there: Russell Brown is like a pshop god.
Props FF team! btw: I know a lot of artists (not just digital painters) who subscribe to Imagine FX magazine. Have you tried to get a review there? FF would be great for a lot of those people. It also ships w/ a CD: you could get a couple of the freepacks on there and get FF in the hands of people who might not otherwise know about it. |

Review
"Personally I think the simpler FilterForge Editions are an amazing value for money for those who like to use a wide diversity of high quality effect filters in their workflow. And for people who are interested in creating their own filters, while not knowing anything about programming languages, the Standard and Pro Editions are an easy, fun, effective window to that goal. Actually I found once you get the hang of it, after messing around with FilterForge for an evening or so, it actionally starts to be addictive!" |

I hear you on that one Stevie ![]() ![]() "Scam" "Desperation" A lot of those type come to mind Stevie. Can you say "skeleton" ![]() ![]() There are a lot of sites with these type of quotes on them..Unfortunately it seems the bad outweigh the good on having this on a site...At least in big huge quotes anyway....Most of the sites that I have seen that are reputable in their software that they sell often times have quotes but usually not quite as big and not as overpowering as the page itself..Their software speaks for itself really... Don't get me wrong the quotes are a great ideal but maybe not as overpowering and perhaps presented in a different way.... ![]() ![]() Stupid things happen to computers for stupid reasons at stupid times! |

That's why the quotes come with real names. People who think it's a scam can just ask the quoted people directly -- and we encourage that by providing a link with each quote. (Regarding whether having the quotes is a bad idea or a good idea: It's a bit too early to judge, but so far, it seems to have produced an increase in orders -- though we haven't performed any real testing yet.) |

Vladimir, so I take it that the quote and Review are of no interest to you, is there a point in post any others? |

I must admit I find the quotes rather annoying too. Mostly because they currently are everywhere. But also because they are completely irrelevant to me - I wish you'd add an option for registered users to hide that stuff. How about adding that little close cross icon you have in the bubble on filter pages and then save the state in the login session cookie?

Of course it is of interest -- please post others. I've seen this review before (probably thanks to your post), and I've skimmed through it again, and the possible problem with it is that the guy who wrote it has no linkable site. We're currently looking this up. I'm back to stealth mode until we release Beta Stage 2, so I just won't be able to read all posts and reply to every comment (don't worry if I miss something important -- the moderators monitor the forum for me). Sorry if this makes you feel neglected, but I have a lot of work to do on Stage 2 and other fronts.
The sidebar is not yet tested and not yet finished. We'll continue working on it. |

That's the initial spike from customers who can't ignore big print..... ![]() ![]() How about just a program "Reviews" tab added between the "Filter Forge Homepage" and "Filters" tabs??? If tab space is a problem, the "Filter Forge Homepage" tab could be shortened to just "Home"..... Steve

there is no question product endorsement work as a sales tool, I agree they also look cheesy - it would be more interesting if there were images sampled from the the Gallery mixed in with the quotes, that would also draw the eye to the column ![]() ![]() |
