Creating Skybox?

I don't think you can currently do that with FilterForge. I think the best you can do is generate a wide, large texture in polar/cylindrical coordinate space, and then post-warp it using Photoshop or similar to generate a cube shape / skybox.

Btw: older versions of Bryce are free downloads, and can render procedural sky boxes for you.

Regarding that particular sky, you could create two versions: one with the planet, and one without, and render both. However, they still wouldn't seamlessly tile in a cube shape, because the connectivity between texture edges is different (top of one texture connects to left of another, instead of bottom, etc).

I have not found this thread until just now.
I would love to see this sky in action, as I too love the Source engine. I frequently play with GMod 10 on there.

Back to FF: My new Galaxy Explorer has checkboxes to render space, planet, and the whole background, I could give you an unfinished version of the new one, and use it? If you want more information, come check out my thread.

Ah yes, I love Hamachi! I posted in hopes that maybe you would want to create an automated or new one.
