I have three machines - a laptop, a desktop at home, and another desktop at office.
May I simply just get a copy of Filter Forge Professional and install/use it on all these machines?

Thanks.

Purga, you need a separate license for each computer. Quoting the EULA, p. 2.1:

Unless otherwise specifically provided under valid invoicing, purchase order or licensing terms accepted by Licensor in writing (e.g. trial, beta, or multiple user license as specified in a contemporaneous purchase order or agreement) granted by the Licensor upon registration of the Product (online or otherwise as provided by Licensor), Licensee is granted a non-exclusive and non-transferable license to Operate one (1) copy of the specified major version of the Product by one user account in the operating system (“User”) during the Term of this Agreement on one Client Device provided that if multiple or volume License is purchased, the number of the Client Devices and the number of permitted users shall be as provided and permitted by invoicing terms or applicable terms and conditions set forth on the Licensor’s website www.filterforge.com at the time of purchase of the License.

Why not just earn yourself a free copy?

I will not by software you can only run on one machine. Even Adobe lets it users run Photoshop etc on 2 machines. How many photographers only have one machine now a days? We all have a powerfull workstation at home and a laptop for travel. Very limiting policy.

No Thanks

Very true.....I think FF should allow two "registered" installations.....could require that each installation be under at least part of the same computer name being on both computers.....

it seems a little silly to say you wont buy it if it's not licensed for more than one machine. but, oh well.

my personal preference is licensing to the user, not the machine. i do find it pretty absurd that if i own three computers and one piece of software, that i must buy two more copies. that just kinda sucks when i'm the only user. but, windows requires it. are you going to not use windows because you have to have a new copy for each machine? but then, how would FF really know i'm the only user of those three machines? so, it's kinda goofy no matter which way you do it.

I never understood why this kind of license applies to the private user... smile:?:

Eventually they'll do that, as new competitors come into this market.
Just wait patiently smile:D
