Hello All!

I am using the Professional Version of Filter Forge. With the filter 4809, it has a Life Preserver. I made my changes and rendered it out BUT it still have the Life Preserver. How do I remove the Life Preserver so I can use the texture I created?

Thanks!

You have to tell FF to use a specific file, else it just uses the default.

Just go to FILE > OPEN... to open your desired image, or FILE > NEW to create a new one of specific dimensions.

Remember: many FF filters work best at square (1:1)dimensions or integer (2:1, 3:1, 1:2) dimensions. So, 600x600 pixels = good, 600x234 pixels = bad/trouble.

.....or just FILE/NEW IMAGE.....then just accept the default white background.....and that will give you the texture without an external image..... smile;) smile:)

the life preserver is a result of having 'image' (external component) components in your filter. remove those and you shld get just the texture showing up in your results. the life preserver image is the default image that comes with filter forge when you make and use an 'effects' filter as opposed to a 'texture' filter. texture filters do not use any imported or default image. so, remove the 'image' components from your filter and there you go.

Not necessarily.....even without an external image component, a texture filter will still default to the lifesaver input.....until you change it like I stated above..... smile;) smile:)
