Hey folks, I'm really sorry to be making a new topic for this, but I've not found anything in my reading so far. I'm trying to figure out, if I buy the basic version of FF now, if a new version is brought out in a months time, will I have to pay again? Or once purchased, do new versions come free? I've not got bundles of money, so I'm worried I'd not be able to afford upgrades.

All updates (1.xxxx) will be free, but any upgrades (v2) will cost you.
You could however aim for getting 5 filters to high usage, thereby earning you a 'life-time upgrades' reward. --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

I would suggest not buying it right away......try to get the pro version by getting 3 high usage filters under the demo (can request 2 time extensions for up to 90 days of free use).....then, if you get addicted like everyone else, it will be no sweat getting getting 5 more high usage filters for lifetime updates to the program.....

I cannot upgrade to the new version (from 1.009) - I don't need an upgrade, only an access to the filters library but it doesn't allow me to open filters in my old version. Why's that?

? You need to update FF I think because of bug fixes and what have you.

best bet might be send FF an email and find out why? Unless it's a glitch of some kind and you need to reinstall and put your name and code in again?
Other thought is, is it a full copy or a trial version you are using? Nothing wrong with a little insanity ;)
