All day August 25 and early AM August 26 (now) neither filter updates nor filter downloads have been working for me. I'm getting impression that others are having the same problem too. Hope this gets fixed soon.

I'm having the same problem. When I open it in Photoshop, it takes me to the FF site, and when I try to open my selected filter in FF, it tells me I am not connected to the Internet.
I'm actually relieved others are having the same problem. That means it will get fix quickly instead of the at the usual glacial help desk response rate. I tried reinstalling and all kinds of things, but still the same. I get the same message when I check for updates.
I would really much rather be able to log and the put the filters I want into a shopping basket, then download them all at once and install them into Filter Forge from my desktop.

@all: unfortunately the filter server is down. We're doing our best to fix this ASAP.
@Marieah: when everything is up (hopefully soon), go to 'Tools' > 'Options' > 'Online' > 'Use the built-in library browser' and click 'Download more filters'.

I just did as you suggested and it's great. Thank you. The reason I had not done this previously is that this option has the word "Obsolete" under it, which I assumed meant it didn't work.
